The store bought kefir is a powdered starter. It does not have the same benefits as real kefir from kefir grains. Also, real kefir tastes SO much better!

I learned from Micheal Paul Patterson that you can make the real kefir into a mouth-watering thick cream, which is TRULY unbelievably delicious.

If you are living somewhere similar to my place, yogurts in stores are nothing more than desserts that are loaded with sugar.  Won’t believe me? Check your yogurt container and see the sugar content. It should be around 20g!

How about sauerkraut? Well, its almost impossible to find it in grocery stores. They are usually heated, processed, and enclosed in an airtight container, all in which kill the beneficial bacteria which really defeats the purpose.

My advice? Learn to make kefir yourself with your own kefir grains.  Nothing can top kefir made with fresh raw milk BUT you can still gain most benefits by making kefir with pasteurized milk.

Hey, you have nothing to worry about if you are lactose intolerant, the bacteria in kefir will break down everything in the milk for you, the lactose, proteins, fats, and vitamins and minerals.  In other words, it is pre-digested for you so that your body can easily digest and assimilate all the nutrients milk has to offer.

If you dislike milk? Just use sweetened water! But I still suggest sticking with milk. Try it out with various recipes you will find in the site! Be healthy and spread the kefir love!
