fermented foodsFermented foods have been around for centuries. The process of fermentation is called zymology. The process starts when sugar is converted to alcohol. To be more specific, the conversion of carbohydrates to alcohol.

Everybody knows about the fermented foods, but most don’t know they are. Some fermented foods are beer, wine, kimchi, yogurt and yes, Kefir from kefir grains.

Fermented foods enrich our diets with new and enticing aromas and different textures. It preserves food and enriches the food with protein, amino acids and vitamins. It also detoxifies your body naturally!

So enjoy fermented foods. Do not fear them because you have been drinking and eating them all along.

Don’t be afraid to try new ones like kefir! :)
