Kefir And Your Lifestyle

kefir lifestyleSince I started designing my lifestyle, I have been constantly looking for better ways or options to improve my previous way of life. Like so many unproductive habits I had to change in order to reach my end goal, I also had to change the way I eat. This is how I found out about Kefir. Kefir from Kefir Grains is without a doubt, in so many ways, the healthiest drink I have ever tasted/drank/whatever. I believe (and it’s proven) that it’s even better than yogurt!

Kefir  is a fermented, probiotic milk drink. The name Kefir means pleasure or good-feeling. This is so-called because of its health-promoting benefits. It contains several beneficial bacteria which has a stupendous effect on the body. Kefir is best described as having a distinct tangy taste with a reputation for longevity because it helps keep your body clean and free from bad bacteria.

Aside from getting Vitamin B and several other vitamins when you drink Kefir, it also works by eliminating unhealthy and destructive bacteria in your intestines, providing food for healthy ones, and helping your body digest the food you eat. You might wonder if there could really be such a miracle product. There are also studies indicating Kefir’s ability to stimulate the body’s immune system, to help digest lactose, and to slow down the growth of tumors. In my future articles, I will explain to you more recent studies on these benefits.

When I was starting my new lifestyle, I was a big fan of yogurt. I made sure that I get my serving of yogurt everyday. But ever since I discovered Kefir, specifically made from Kefir Grains, I knew that I can have more. Although both Kefir and yogurt are cultured milk products and contain many beneficial bacteria, Kefir just has more to offer. Kefir and yogurt can help clean your intestines and keep it that way, and provide food for friendly bacteria. However, aside from other good bacteria not commonly found in yogurt, Kefir (good bacteria) can also take over your intestines and attack the bad ones to strengthen it. Something yogurt cannot match.

The miracle I have been waiting for, not only physically, but also in my overall health, has finally happened with the help of Kefir and Kefir Grains. Unlike the common notion that being healthy means eating tasteless, often disgusting food, I am confident to say the Kefir makes my healthy life very enjoyable!

My wife and I have been drinking kefir for one month now. The first good and positive effect that we noticed is the elimination of bad breath. We usually check our breath particularly when we wake up in the morning and counter the bad breath with mouth wash. Ever since we started to drink kefir we have not used mouth wash to eliminate bad breath.
We also noticed that the droppings of our pet dog was not odorous ever since we mixed kefir with its daily dog food.

we should put up an article about your experience with bad breath and kefir for dogs soon. Did you do anything particular with the kefir? Did you and your wife drink it daily?
